As promised. This is the feel-good closer to Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? And it’s got circles. Or dots. But what you really want to watch is the dipster acoustic version of The Past is a Grotesque Animal. Ten minutes of bitter wisdom on some dying relationship. “At least I author my own disaster.” Comedy gold. Enough guruness to overshadow that dumb line about Georges Bataille. And some of the Rush-esque polysyllablism near the end. Analyst? Raided kingdoms? Probably well-lived. But dumb. “The mousy girl screams violence, violence…It’s my favorite scene.” Good stuff! The track on the album is better. But this is okay; it’s all modal anyway, a drone to prop lyrics like, “Our love project has so much potential/It’s like we’re not made for this world/I wouldn’t really wanna to meet someone who was.” No matter where we are, we’re always touching by underground wires.
